Build a holiday drinks menu
A Christmas cocktail does not need a long list of seasonal syrups. This collection brings together cranberry bubbles, familiar whiskey drinks, creamy dessert flavors, and warm mugs. Choose one or two styles that fit your gathering instead of stocking ingredients for every recipe.
Before dinner, after dinner, or by the fire
Poinsettia adds cranberry and orange liqueur to Champagne for a colorful toast. Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Sazerac, and a simplified Vieux Carré suit guests who enjoy a drink that puts the spirit first. Brandy Alexander brings chocolate and cream. After dinner, choose Irish Coffee or the Irish cream and vanilla flavors of Madame Coffee.
Prepare for a warm welcome
Grog combines rum, lemon, and black tea; Clockwork Orange uses rum, orange juice, honey, and cinnamon. Measure ingredients before guests arrive, but heat warm drinks close to serving. For a larger gathering, offer a sparkling choice and a warm choice, plus a nonalcoholic option.
