Choose a fall cocktail by flavor
Apple, cranberry, whiskey, and warm spice give this collection its autumn character. Apple Grog combines apple juice, dark rum, honey, and baking spices; Jack Rose uses apple brandy and lemon; Appletini takes a sweeter route with apple liqueur. These are different apple ingredients, so check the recipe before buying. None of these recipes requires apple cider.
From a crisp sour to a warm mug
For bourbon, compare the citrus and foam of Whiskey Sour with the bitter vermouth balance of Boulevardier. Old Fashioned puts the whiskey first, while Godfather combines whisky and amaretto. Choose cranberry and sparkling wine in Poinsettia for a lighter texture, or Simple Mulled Wine for a warm drink. Penicillin adds ginger and honey to a whisky sour. Follow each recipe's method: shaken citrus drinks, stirred spirit drinks, and gently heated serves need different preparation.
